Description
Arugam Bay, known locally as "Arugam Kudah", is a bay situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka's southeast coast, and a historic settlement of the ancient Batticaloa Territory.
Arugam Bay is the most popular surf spot and is also the only international surf competition venue in Sri Lanka. It is also rated as one of the top ten surf destinations in the world.

I would like to say that it is one of the best ice cream shops in Sri Lanka. It has tasty and many flavours and... choices. Price seems to me ok. Also, it has nice atmosphere and spaces to gather as family and friends. The building is unique architecture too. Recommended ice cream shop! Keep up the standards.read more

Though the hotel has been built 50 years ago rooms were in good condition,spacious . Food was delicious. Great... hospitality.Hotel provided bicycles , we rode around the lake.It was an amazing experience .read more

A wonderful historical and entertaining journey down memory lane. All the equipments are labeled in an orderly fashion.... A tour guide is available on request. It has four floors. On the first floor is a mechanized model of a tea factory. On the second floor one can see the oldest tea package in Sri Lanka. On the fourth floor you can have a cup of tea and buy some tea. Very friendly staff.read more

Jodu(couple) ella is two separate waterfalls falling to parallel each other. Waterfall can be accessed from ‘Gomaraya’... road. There is newly build concrete road in left side of ‘Gomaraya’ road which named ‘Sadun Arana’ Meditation Center. Small vehicle can go through this road until Meditation Center or you can pack your vehicle in main road. There is short walk from Meditation Center to waterfall through tea state.read more
