With the rapid growth of the apparel industry in Sri Lanka, the Company was under pressure from customers for larger and speedier volumes of labels. Thus in 1995, the management taking advantage of the many concessions and facilities offered by the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (B.O.I) for investments in advanced technology, took the bold step of forming a new facility “Universal Labels (PVT) LTD, as successor to Unitag Industries Ltd.

Our team of talented designers utilizes design systems from Müller and MEI to develop intricate designs or convert from art work or samples to bring the designs of customers to life in woven form. We have been able to successfully developed and supply woven labels for globally recognized brands due to our attention to detail and quality and quick response to client requests.
