About Us
Elizabeth Moir School is an independent English medium international school in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The school is co-educational and admits children from both Sri Lankan and expatriate families resident in Sri Lanka.
Elizabeth Moir School is a fully independent private school and the only international school in Sri Lanka to be owned and run by British nationals. Elizabeth Moir, the Head of School, has run international schools in Sri Lanka for thirty six years and founded Elizabeth Moir School in 1996. It immediately established itself as one of the very top international schools in Colombo and its commitment to small classes, individual attention and an all-round education have ensured it continues to set the standard.
The school operates from two spacious leafy premises in an easily accessible residential area in Colombo. The Junior School has always been on Park Road and the Senior School moved from Guildford Crescent to Thalakotuwa Gardens in 2003.
