Nice secluded place inside a rain forest like atmosphere. However, you still get to enjoy it in luxury. The rooms are... very cozy and modern. There is a river flowing by it and in addition there is a pool if you need to take a dip. The staff members are very helpful and friendly. The main access road was not usable due to part of a small bridge being broken. We took an alternative route via the road to Bopath Ella water fall. The last bit of that road needed to be negotiated carefully but fortunately we were in a 4x4.read more

The place is a nice place to have weddings and outings.I went for a wedding and the service is excellent. Food is... tasty and fresh.As I experienced they properly follow the quarantine rules and regulations and take care of customer safety. And also Washrooms are clean.read more

Of the beaten track, this place offers the perfect get away. Secluded in a forest, Kuruwita retreat surprises the... visitor when the beautiful bungalow and garden opens up almost suddenly when entering the premises. The pool has a large rock embedded in it, which is a nice addition considering the surrounding nature and it's elements. The Kuru river flowing by the boundary of the resort, was highly recommended for a cooling off bath by the resort staff. Almost straddled by trees and foliage, it was truly a beautiful experience. One could just lay back in the lazy meandering water and watch the Sun shining thru the trees, or just listen to the fantastic array of bird sounds, which is fast becoming a rarity in most parts of the country. The room and bathroom were clean and maintained. While the rooms in the main bungalow are conventional, the glass enclosed chalets offer a 360 degree view of the forest and river. The menu we had was Sri Lankan, just rice and curry. But if u're looking at a specific meal plan, it's best you keep the staff informed prior to your visit. This is simply because travelling to the town in a hurry is a bit difficult considering the hills and twisting roads. A great place to do a day visit or stay over...ideal place to unwind!read more
