Prego was established in Negombo 2012 by Roy De Cruz. During Roys career in Singapore he established, owned and ran two of the Country’s most popular Italian restaurants, Tratorria L’Ancora and Vita Pizza Bar, both of which were listed in the top ten restaurants in Singapore.Now back in his hometown of Sri Lanka, Roy returns with over 15 years of restaurant experience bringing the finest authentic Italian cuisine to the heart of Negombo.

Our traditional Italian kitchen at Prego offers a diverse selection of homemade pasta and ravioli dishes, traditional Roman Pizza’s from our huge wood fired oven, and a large selection of small plates to accompany.In order to keep our dishes as authentic as possible we import quality ingredients from Italy, as well as sourcing homemade sausage and cheeses made locally by native Italian suppliers residing in Sri Lanka today. All dishes are cooked to order by trained Chefs.
