Mandaram Eco Resort, located in Mandaram Nuwara, Sri Lanka was built at 1,980 meters (6,500 feet) above sea level. The surrounding forest reserve is 2,528 meters (8,294 feet) above sea level.

Mandaram means ‘Little Cloudy’ in Sinhalese. Here, at Mandaram Eco Resort, you will literally live in the clouds. Expect the weather here to be a bit chilly, ranging between 14°C – 20°C.  At times, it will be misty as we are nestled right at the border of the Piduruthalagala Forest Reserve.

In the heart of the forest, you will find our British colonial mansion and private villas overlooking the reserve and a cascading waterfall surrounded by tea plantations. Enjoy splendid views and relax to the sounds of the forest as its inhabitants that flutter within the near distance.

Our guest’s comfort is our top priority. At Mandaram Eco Resort, you can choose to stay in one of the rooms in our historic colonial mansion. Step back in history as you walk through its corridors and rooms. Optionally, you can choose to stay in a private villa where all your needs are catered to. Luxurious private villas are dotted along a ridge in our private Nature Reserve. The villas are built with large glass panes — uniquely designed to give you an incredible indoor-outdoor experience.
