Description
Moray Fall is located on the Moray estate on on the shadows of Samanala Range. The waterfall is fed by a stream originating from the Samanala Mountain Range and ends up at the Muskeliya Reservoir at the bottom of the fall. This fall cascades in 3 segments before finally hitting the bottom.
Another fall, Sri Pada Falls (also known s Adam’s Peak Falls / Gartmore Falls) lies only few hundred meters away falling on the Maskeliya reservoir in similar fashion. Due to the close proximity of these two falls, some confuse the names of these waterfalls and the Moray Falls is sometimes identified as the Sri Pada Falls.

This waterfall directly falls into the reservoir.These type of Waterfalls are rare in Sri Lanka.After the acquisition... of the Moray tea state by Arabian people the road which leads to the waterfall became a tuff one since earlier used road is now not allowed use.When you heading towards this Waterfall you can see the gartmore falls too.read more

Extremely beautiful. Not very hard to reach the waterfall. Can have a bath in various places but beware of the water... level. When the upper mini hydro plant open the water path the water level rises up pretty quickly and the water level is high during rainy seasonsread more

Here found a different kind of waterfall where water directly falls into the Maussakale reservoir. Nice place but... difficult to access. Need to drive 4km through tea estate and walk about 1km inside jungle to reach the fall. permission has to be taken to enter the plantation.read more

Found this beauty in a corner of Maskeliya reservoir. Truly amazing and giant. This is kept hidden as it cannot be... easily accessed. You have to come by a boat or else through the tea plantation. I believe that it is better the way as it is or else it might get polluted if it is easily accessible.read more

The water stream directly drop on maskeliya reviver. But this happens after creating the maskeliya dam.
