Talalla Retreat is just that, a retreat from your everyday life into a beach and paradise escape.
Our resort sits on a pristine unspoiled beach still hidden from tourists and travelers and only visited by the local fisherman during their daily catch.
Our facilities include a 20m freshwater lap pool, three custom-built yoga pavilions, an Ayurvedic spa, and a gourmet open-air restaurant serving the freshest healthiest meals with organic vegetables from our own vegetable garden.
We offer individual surf, yoga, and wellness services and coaching in addition to weekly retreats for a pre-packaged experience. Come stay with us to relax, unwind with us!
Elegantly designed rooms include open-air marble bathrooms, private patios, and great views of the lush gardens or the Indian Ocean. For those on a budget there we also offer affordable dormitory accommodation in a beautiful old colonial house at the top of our highest hill — making you eye-level with the treetops. We’ve got something for everyone.

The rooms are excellent, clean, with comfy beds and hot water. The retreat itself is in a fantastic location on the... beach with a clean swimming pool. The yoga class was excellent, the teacher was great, making sure everyone was comfortable and creating a relaxed atmosphere.read more

Fantastic place. It has something magical.If you need a place to rewind and get back to yourself this is a great place... to do so. A wonderful bay, good food, great people to meet and the hut was clean, well maintained, and exactly what we needed. We booked one of the private huts which made it possible to have time just watching the waves and enjoy.read more

This place is just incredible we only had time for one night but we will definitely come back. We stayed in the bamboo... hut nearest the beach and just siting on the terrace it is stunning. The beach is beautiful and unspoilt with very fun waves. Food was also very good however maybe a few candles on the tables and light music outside would have made for a better atmosphere at dinner. The room was so different and lovely, the open sides mean you go to sleep and the only noice you hear is the animals and the sound of the waves. Perfect stayread more

This retreat is such a peaceful place. Lovely people, excellent yoga teachers great breakfast and foot. Stayed for a... couple of days in an open room with no walls with an outside shower and a nice National Geographic like view. I highly recommend this stay in talallaread more

I went to Sri Lanka on my own and decided to do the Surf and Yoga retreat.I loved every moment of it. The place is... gorgeous, the beach is beautiful, the staff and instructors great, the food delicious. I booked a deluxe room and was delighted.It was my first time surfing and I will be back for sure!The only cons is that it’s overpriced and there are not decent supermarkets around to buy essentialsHighly recommended 🥰read more

Had a very lovely 3 nights here, fantastic pool and really good drop in yoga classes.Be aware though that the aerial... only had 6 spots so if you have bought a 5/10 class pass and relying on an aerial class to use your quota arrive early to get to spot!Good eco credentials with stainless steel straws and drinking water available 24/7 but not all soft drinks in glass bottles, disappointed my ginger beer was plastic when had ginger beer across the country and all other bottles been glass.read more
