Description
The Cliff Lodge Thousand meters above sea level near the famous Lipton Seat in Haputale, on a rural cliff Top almost 2km kis away from the nearest community you will have the freedom to enjoy endless panoramic views and spot a verity of wildlife.
Trekking through Cloudy Mountains, dipping in Natural Pools and Stargazing by open Fires are only a few experiences that will make your stay at The Cliff Lodge unforgettable.
Sleeping in a cosy tent can only get better when you hear the musical of night time wilderness. After a good night sleep watch the sun breathtakingly rise from behind the mountain range whilst sipping a cup of tea.
The Lodge has four tents which can accommodate up to two guests each. Each tent has been placed in compartments separated by iron rock walls built more than hundred years ago when Sir Lipton started to cultivate tea. Tents are equipped with all necessary equipment such as air mattresses, bed sheets, sleeping bags, lanterns and torches. Toilets and bathrooms are only a minute walk away from the tents.
With No Time Restrictions, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Cliff Lodge. local and international cuisine will be prepared by your hosts to cater to Your Personal Taste by sourcing products as locally as possible.

Once in a lifetime experience. One of the most scenic remote mountains in Haputale. The journey to the lodge is in a... 4*4 for about one and half hours. And then from the point it’s about another 30-40 minutes hike. Amazing experience and we stayed on top of this beautiful mountain for 3 days. Check the Facebook page and reserve your stay.read more

I am traveling around the country with my family and friends. Naveen is the greatest host that I have experienced so... far. The support he gave to plan our stay is incredible. For the first time in Sri Lanka, I got my travel itinerary including all the information that I need, what should bring and shouldn’t also with details of each meal. In advance, he queried about my dietary requirements which is a good example of how well they plan our stay and how much they care about us.Can’t explain the surrounding by words. It is simply gorgeous. I was lucky to see elephants on high mountains for the first time in my life. You will realize that you have taste buds once you start to eat the foods. It is so delicious and the presentation is stunning.Few times I was trying to realize whether I am the host. They are that much closer to you and starts to feel that your at your own place.Wasantha is a great guy who drives you around very safe and a great cook also a great guide. The value he is adding to your stay is awesome. The river hike is fabulous and the Rotti lunch is awesome. Finally came back with endless sweet memories and having the urge to come back as soon as got a chance.read more
