Friendly welcome from Azim on arrival. Mubarak checked the room with me, good room, huge bed. Nice cooked breakfast. And the location is excellent, view of the ocean. Thanks for everything. 😎

So where to start? At Arne's place we definitely felt the most welcome. The brothers that are running the place are doing a super job. They are social, helpful, funny and they have interesting stories to tell.The rooms are new and clean, open shower is amazing, nice clean chill area with hammocks and slackline, definitily order breakfast!Beach view 50 meters walking.

We spent a wonderful week at Arne's Place and in Arugam Bay.It's situated right in front of the ocean with open relax areas all around.The special thing about Arne’s Place is the hospitality of the brothers who own and run the place. Haleem, the manager, is friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make us feel at home away from home. One of his brothers is an ISA certified surf instructor and, in our opinion, one of the best (you can book him through Arne's Place or No Worries surf shop). All spoke English very well.We stayed in the Storm House which had plenty of room for two, an open-air bathroom, and a private balcony with a hammock. Also the cabana looked nice.Now, in the low season, they only served breakfast but there are plenty of great restaurants less than 5 minutes walk away.Overall a 5/5 experience. They live up to their promise “Come as a stranger, leave as a friend.”

Warm hearted and cozy resort (not) only for surfers..Even though surfers can literally bump into the water with their boards (Arne’s Place offers surf lessons too), this laidback place is suited for all kind of other people too. If going to bed and waking up with the sound of the waves is exactly your thing, this must be the place.The owner family, Halim and his brothers, are of a kind sort and love to share their big knowledge of the area. “Come as a Stranger, leave as a Friend” beautifully written on their wall isn’t just an empty slogan.Go and experience it yourselves.

Absolutely incredible experience! These folks will make your stay enjoyable and unforgettable. Their assistance and recommendations were perfect, such wonderful people make you feel special and like family. If this destination is being considered, you won't go wrong here. They have connections and are quick to use them for your benefit.
